Can't really tell what the early show was like, but this set features an amazing Eleven & Lovelight. Although the rest of the show is just good standard well-played GD, this show is a favorite of mine for some early nice-sounding use of the Fender Strat which Garcia was in the process of learning how to get a "sweet sound" with, as opposed to his earlier use of the Gibson SG, which didn't quite have the twang he wanted on some of the newer stuff. This is one of the first shows where, in my opinion, he really gets it figured out.

Cool Show!
A laid back but powerful 1969 Grateful Dead power packed show, some cool country roots at the beginning there too!
